Sponsorship of Eanna Academy
Coláiste Éanna and its partner club Notre Dame were the teams to beat throughout the 1990s and arguably the most successful school and club in Irish Basketball over a period of 10 years.
Following amalgamation of Notre Dame and Eanna basketball, the club continues to develop its structures in order to provide the opportunities to compete in local and national leagues and also to provide for our players to participate in representative games up to International competition.
Having successfully taken the step to the National Level in 2015, Eanna Basketball recognises the importance of a strong academy to ensure the medium to long term success of the club.
Eanna Academy
The club as part of a majorly successful recruitment drive extended the academy to over 100 kids in order to re-establish the long standing link the club has traditionally held in the surrounding areas with a particular focus on Tallaght and Firhouse. The academy was run over 8 weeks in which kids could play basketball free of charge in a fun and friendly environment. The academy was extremely successful which will provide an exciting influx of young new players to the club.
The initial goal was to establish a free youth academy providing top class coaching free of charge for children aged 5-9. The need for gym hire, equipment and insurance makes basketball an expensive sport and cost remains a major obstacle for uptake in basketball. The academy although a paid one provides an opportunity for young kids to test a sport For a semester without the extended financial challenges of an annual membership fees and experience the same levels of friendship, opportunity and enjoyment we received through the game of basketball.
Sponsorship
Due to the cost of running the academy, there is a requirement for a sponsor to assist in the purchase of equipment, gym hire and insurance to enable the academy to continue to develop. We are currently looking for a headline sponsor for the Rathfarnham academy. The sponsorship can be adjusted to meet the needs of the sponsor.
Benefits to the Sponsor may include:
1. Naming rights to the Academy
2. Sponsor logo and message to appear on all marketing material including high quality A5 recruitment fliers to be distributed to over 4000 school children in the Dublin 14/16/24 area aswell as through our website and social media campaign platforms on twitter, facebook and flickr.
3. Sponsor logo to appear on academy t-shirts.
4. Creation of a positive public image for business by providing a tangible positive benefit to the local community.

Eden House are Winners of the ’Bar of the Year’ and nominated in 2013 for ‘Best Local’. The Eden serve award winning food and are headquarters for Marlay Park concerts which is located just across the road. The house itself is steeped in tradition and history. Built in 1753 it was formerly a country Manor House, which along with Highfield Manor, Grange House and Marley House formed part of the extensive townland of Harolds Grange. The Harolds became responsible for the protection of The Pale in the surrounding neighbourhood and were fierce in their guard of it.
